Team Sahlen, presented by honeybeeBase.com, return to Sebring\nInternational Raceway for the 1st<\/sup> time since 2021.  In the visit in 2021, Team Sahlen was able to\nbe very competitive at that year\u2019s Tire Rack \u2013 ChampCar Endurance Series\n8&7 Hour races.  In particular, Team\nSahlen\u2019s #942 \u201cKetchup\u201d led at the mid point of Saturday\u2019s race. Unfortunately\nthe team a some mechanical mishaps that resulted in the team having to end the\nrace weekend early.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In prior ChampCar races at Sebring, Team Sahlen has also had\ngood fortune, with a 2nd<\/sup> and 3rd<\/sup> overall in the 2020 14\nHour race.  Prior to this, Team Sahlen\nsecured 1st<\/sup> and 3rd<\/sup> overall in 2019.  In 2018, the team secured the EC Class\nvictory on both Saturday and Sunday enduros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wayne Nonnamaker remembers the 2020 Sebring race – \u201cI remember\nthe 14 hour event.  The rain just didn\u2019t\nstop.  And then as the sun set, the rain\nstarted coming down sideways.  The\nBoxsters were hydroplaning. The mist was so big you could barely see in front\nof the car.  But somehow we kept going\nand both cars finished on the lead lap after 14 hours of racing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This season, Team Sahlen will be entering their #942 \u201cKetchup\u201d\n& & #943 \u201cMustard\u201d Porsche Boxsters in the dual 8&7 Enduros.  Team Sahlen will also be testing their #941 \u201cChili\u201d\nPorsche Boxster on the Friday Practice Day. \nDrivers for the race will be Joe Sahlen, Joe Nonnamaker, Wayne\nNonnamaker & Will Nonnamaker. \nInterestingly the Sunday 8 Hour race will be the 1st<\/sup> time in\nthe team\u2019s history to be racing on New Year\u2019s Eve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joe Nonnamaker shared his excitement about returning to\nSebring \u2013 \u201cI always enjoy returning to Sebring. \nThis is such a legendary track with a tremendous history in endurance\nsports car racing.  I remember coming\nhere the 1st<\/sup> time in 1991 with our VW GTis.  The track configuration has altered several\ntimes over the years, but the character of the track\u2019s runway bumps remains the\nsame.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Friday Practice starts at 1 pm and runs until 3:45 pm.  Saturday\u2019s 8 hour enduro & Sunday\u2019s 7\nhour enduro will both start at 9 am.  The\nraces will be televised on ChampCarLive.com presented by AutoZone.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
