{"id":4943,"date":"2022-09-14T20:38:39","date_gmt":"2022-09-14T20:38:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/?p=4943"},"modified":"2024-01-23T17:31:56","modified_gmt":"2024-01-23T17:31:56","slug":"team-sahlen-enjoys-good-time-at-mid-ohio","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/index.php\/2022\/09\/14\/team-sahlen-enjoys-good-time-at-mid-ohio\/","title":{"rendered":"Team Sahlen enjoys good time at Mid-Ohio"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Having Fun in the Sun at Mid-Ohio\" width=\"680\" height=\"383\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/JWNqGI10B-E?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Team Sahlen, presented by honeybeeBase.com, entered the Tire Rack \u2013 ChampCar Endurance Series at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course to compete in the dual enduros.&nbsp; This was to include an 8 hour race on Saturday and a 7 hour enduro on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" src=\"http:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_8655-1024x684.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4914\" srcset=\"https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_8655-1024x684.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_8655-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_8655-768x513.jpg 768w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_8655.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">But 1<sup>st<\/sup> on Friday was a Test&amp;Tune Session that allowed the team to shake down both the #942 \u201cKetchup\u201d and #943 \u201cMustard\u201d ECS Tuning Porsche.&nbsp; The Boxsters ran great with very competitive times.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_0032-1-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4786\" srcset=\"https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_0032-1-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_0032-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_0032-1-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_0032-1-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_0032-1.jpg 1632w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">For Saturday, the team was fortunate to draw a high starting slot, being 15<sup>th<\/sup> and 16<sup>th<\/sup> out of 70 racers.&nbsp; This allowed the Joe Nonnamaker and Joe Sahlen to able to rise up quickly through the pack to the top 3.&nbsp; A mechanical issue unfortunately placed \u201cMustard\u201d behind the wall for the day.&nbsp; This left \u201cKetchup\u201d to hold up the honor for Team Sahlen.&nbsp; Joe Sahlen ran a solid shift to hand the racer over in 2<sup>nd<\/sup> place overall.&nbsp; During the next shift driven by Will Nonamaker, a damaged splitter placed Team Sahlen on their back feet trying to repair the damage on various pit stops.&nbsp; Although not perfect, the crew did make enough repairs to allow the drivers have a racer good enough to charge through the field.&nbsp; And charge the drivers did, rising up from 15<sup>th<\/sup> to 5<sup>th<\/sup> in the last 3 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"http:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/DON_6326-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4760\" srcset=\"https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/DON_6326-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/DON_6326-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/DON_6326-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/DON_6326-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/DON_6326-2048x1365.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Overnight it was concluded that \u201cMustard\u201d would not be able to start Sunday\u2019s 7 hour enduro.&nbsp; This left \u201cKetchup\u201d to make the lone start for the team.&nbsp; Ace Rain Driver Wayne Nonnamaker was slotted into the driver\u2019s seat for the start of the very, very slick track.
