{"id":4935,"date":"2022-09-14T20:01:20","date_gmt":"2022-09-14T20:01:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/?p=4935"},"modified":"2022-09-14T20:01:20","modified_gmt":"2022-09-14T20:01:20","slug":"team-sahlen-returns-to-road-america","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/index.php\/2022\/09\/14\/team-sahlen-returns-to-road-america\/","title":{"rendered":"Team Sahlen returns to Road America"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Team Sahlen, presented by honeybeeBase.com, will be\nentering racing in the Tire Rack \u2013 ChampCar Fall Endurance Classic at Road\nAmerica.&nbsp; This will mark the 1<sup>st<\/sup>\ntime that that Team Sahlen has raced at this Wisconsin road course since way\nback in 2014.&nbsp; <\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" src=\"https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_5508.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4937\" srcset=\"https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_5508.jpeg 640w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_5508-300x200.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Joe Sahlen shared his thoughts on driving Road America\nfor the 1<sup>st<\/sup> time \u2013 \u201cThis is a legendary road course in North America\nthat any serious racer has on his bucket list to drive someday.&nbsp; I am excited to be out getting to experience\nthis track for the 1<sup>st<\/sup> time.&nbsp;\nI know it will take some time to learn this super long 4+ mile\ncircuit.&nbsp; But I am confident that with\nthe Friday test day, we should be able to find a good pace for the race on\nSaturday.\u201d<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" src=\"https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_6033.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4939\" srcset=\"https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_6033.jpeg 640w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_6033-300x200.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The ECS Tuning Porsche Boxsters are known for their\nbraking and handling.&nbsp; Road America is a\ncircuit with long, long straightaways that favors those race cars with serious\ntop end power.&nbsp; This will mean that the\nteam will have to maximize their race strategy and minimizing their time on pit\nroad to stay at the sharp end of the circuit.&nbsp;\n<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" src=\"https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_7137.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4940\" srcset=\"https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_7137.jpeg 640w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_7137-300x200.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The weekend\u2019s events start on Friday, September 23<sup>rd<\/sup>\nwith a full day Test &amp; Tune.
