Team Sahlen, presented by honeybeeBase.com, kicks off\ntheir 2022 race season at Pittsburgh International Race Complex with the Summit\nRacing \u2013 American Endurance Racing Series. For this event Team Sahlen will be\nentering their #42 \u201cPepper\u201d & #43 \u201cSalt\u201d Porsche Caymans in the weekend\u2019s\ndual 8 Hour Enduros.  Interestingly, both\nPorsche Caymans are the same race cars that Team Sahlen entered in their 1st<\/sup>\nrace in the series in 2015. Since this time, Team Sahlen has secured an OVERALL\nVictory in the series. <\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For 2022, the Summit Racing \u2013 American Endurance\nRacing series has unveiled a brand new race group, called Class A.  Class A has a rules set for a 9:1 Power to\nWeight Ratio.  Team Sahlen is\nstrategically entering their #42 \u201cPepper\u201d in the new Class A and #43 \u201cSalt\u201d in\nthe traditional Class 4.  This will place\nTeam Sahlen in the position of being able to contend for 2 class wins and still\nbe able to secure for OVERALL Victory.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drivers for the weekend will be Joe Sahlen, Joe\nNonnamaker, Wayne Nonnamaker & Will Nonnamaker.  Joe Sahlen enters the weekend only 125 laps\naway from joining the 3000 Lap Club in the series.  Joe shared his thoughts coming into the\nweekend \u2013 \u201cI am excited to be back on the track.  I have really enjoyed the American Endurance\nRacing series.  Its hard to believe we\nhave competed in the series for 8 years now.\u201d<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The weekend\u2019s events start on Friday, April 1st<\/sup>\nwith Test & Tune in the morning, with practice and qualifying in the\nafternoon.  Saturday will dawn with an 8\nhour enduro starting at 8 am.  Then\nSunday will have another 8 hour enduro. \nThe series then will award a Weekend OVERALL 1st<\/sup>, 2nd<\/sup>\nand 3rd<\/sup> Place for the combined results from each day.   <\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
