Team Sahlen, presented by honeybeeBase.com, will be returning\nfrom their early Summer break to race again with the Tire Rack \u2013 ChampCar Endurance\nSeries at the Nelson Ledges Road Course. \nThe last time Team Sahlen competed at Nelson Ledges was at last year\u2019s\nSummit Racing \u2013 American Endurance Racing series event, where the team\u2019s\nPorsche Caymans secured 1st<\/sup> and 2nd<\/sup> OVERALL in Saturday\u2019s\n4 hour enduro.  The last time Team Sahlen\ncompeted at Nelson Ledges with the Tire Rack \u2013 ChampCar Endurance Series was at\nthe 2019 Nelson Ledges 24 Hours event. \nIn this race, Team Sahlen\u2019s Porsche Boxster secured 1st<\/sup> place\nOVERALL by an outstanding 18 lap margin of victory.  This weekend\u2019s event will be dual Saturday 8\nhour and Sunday 7 hour enduro races.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Team Sahlen will be entering their #942 \u201cKetchup\u201d and #943 \u201cMustard\u201d\nPorsche Boxsters vs some very strong competitors.  The drivers will be Joe Sahlen, Joe Nonnamaker,\nWayne Nonnamaker and Will Nonnamaker.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Will Nonnamaker shared his thoughts leading up to the weekend\n\u2013 \u201cWe are very excited to return to Nelson with our Porsche Boxsters.  At last year\u2019s American Endurance Racing Test\nDay event at Nelson, we tested our Porsche Boxster.  There were several set up lessons we learned\nthat we hope to utilize in the this weekend\u2019s ChampCar race.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joe Nonnamaker shared his history with Nelson \u2013 \u201cI remember\ncoming to Nelson in 1974 with my Pinto. \nWhat a difference 47 years make.  That\nFord had tires that are the size of today\u2019s space savers.  Turns that were braking and holding on are\nnow flatout with no effort. Just amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event will start on Friday – July 16th<\/sup> with\nan open test and tune.  Then Saturday will\nbe an 8 hour enduro starting at 9 am. \nSunday will be a 7 hour enduro.  The\nraces will be televised on Champcarlive – https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/c\/ChampCarEnduranceSeries\/videos<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
