Team Sahlen,\npresented by honeybeeBase.com will be entering the  Summit Racing \u2013 American Endurance Racing\nseries event at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course this weekend. It was 5 years ago at Mid-Ohio\nthat Team Sahlen entered their very 1st<\/sup> Summit Racing \u2013 American Endurance\nRacing event.  At that Event Team Sahlen\nwas fortunate to secure victories in Saturday and Sunday\u2019s Enduro Events, as\nwell as securing the OVERALL Weekend Victory<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Team Sahlen\u2019s  1st<\/sup> event of the season was in\nJune at the Summit Racing \u2013 American Endurance Racing held at Nelson Ledges\nRoad Course.  It had been 6 months since\nthe team had last raced at Sebring in December of 2019.  The long lay off say the crew and drivers\nknocking off the rust after break.  After\na full day of testing on Friday, everyone was ready for Saturday\u2019s 4 hour\nenduro, where the team secured a 1st<\/sup> and 2nd<\/sup>\nOVERALL.  Then the team followed up with\na very solid 2nd<\/sup> and 3rd<\/sup> OVERALL in Sunday\u2019s 9 hour enduro.    <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nDrivers for this weekend\u2019s race will be Joe Sahlen, Joe Nonnamaker, Wayne\nNonnamaker and Will Nonnamaker.  They\nwill be driving the team\u2019s #41 Audi R8 GT3 Ultra \u201cRetro\u201d and #42 Porsche Cayman\nGT4\/PDK \u201cSaucy\u201d.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joe Sahlen\nshared his thoughts on driving the Audi again \u2013 \u201cI am excited to be getting\nback behind the wheel of the R8 again this weekend.  This car is a real thrill to drive.  Our 1st<\/sup> race with the Audi was at\nlast year\u2019s Mid-Ohio event.  On our\nmaiden voyage with the car, we were able to secure the Overall Victory on\nSaturday and claim the top prize for the weekend\u2019s races.   We recently tested the Audi at Nelson\nLedges, to work through a couple of refinements, that we hope will pay off as\nwe race \u201cRetro\u201d again this weekend.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Will Nonnamaker\nshared his thoughts leading into the weekend \n– \u201cWe are excited to be racing again at Pittsburgh International Race\nComplex.  This is such a fantastic track\nto race on.  It has a great ebb and flow\nto each lap.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
