{"id":1554,"date":"2020-06-13T17:33:24","date_gmt":"2020-06-13T17:33:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/?p=1554"},"modified":"2020-06-13T17:33:24","modified_gmt":"2020-06-13T17:33:24","slug":"team-sahlen-enjoys-1st-race-back-racing-in-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/index.php\/2020\/06\/13\/team-sahlen-enjoys-1st-race-back-racing-in-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"Team Sahlen enjoys 1st race back racing in 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Due to the concerns and restrictions of\nthe COVID-19 crisis, Team Sahlen had not been on track since December of\n2019.&nbsp; Thus, it was with sincere\nenjoyment, that Team Sahlen was able to get back on track in June at the Summit\nRacing \u2013 American Endurance Racing event at Nelson Ledges Road Course<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Friday test day saw Team Sahlen\nputting laps of 4 different race cars, #943 Porsche Boxster \u201cMustard\u201d, #41 Porsche\nCayman GT4\/PDK \u201cLunatic\u201d, #42 Porsche Cayman GT4\/PDK \u201cSaucy\u201d and #43 Audi R8 GT3\nLMS Ultra \u201cRetro\u201d.&nbsp; The beautiful sunny\ndays allowed the team to work through initial shake down runs as well as several\nfine tuning runs on suspension set up.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"563\" src=\"http:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/w-portraits-292_608-1024x563-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1529\" srcset=\"https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/w-portraits-292_608-1024x563-1.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/w-portraits-292_608-1024x563-1-300x165.jpg 300w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/w-portraits-292_608-1024x563-1-768x422.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Will Nonnamaker shared his thoughts on\nthe successful test day \u2013 \u201cWe had several off season programs we were working.&nbsp; And to finally be able to get out on track\nand see what the results were of the different ideas we had was very nice. &nbsp;As typical with any racing development, most\nof the ideas did not work. Very stiff competition saw Team Sahlen\nmixing it up with in the early hours of the race.&nbsp; Excellent pit stops and consistent race lap\npace saw Team Sahlen emerge in 1<sup>st<\/sup> and 2<sup>nd<\/sup> OVERALL with\nan hour to go in the race.
