The team had finished 2<sup>nd<\/sup> and 3<sup>rd<\/sup> Overall in 2024.&nbsp; And then returned in 2025 to secure the OVERALL victory.&nbsp; The team had a successful 1<sup>st<\/sup> event of the year at Carolina Motorsports Park in the Lucky Dog Racing League series \u2013 securing double 3<sup>rd<\/sup> place finishes in the 7 Hour Enduros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Daytona-26-30-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12483\" srcset=\"https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Daytona-26-30-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Daytona-26-30-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Daytona-26-30-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Daytona-26-30-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Daytona-26-30-2048x1536.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The Team arrived to Daytona with beautiful Sunny skies and temperatures in the mid 70s. Set up day went smoothly for the team, passing through tech and setting up the pits on Friday.&nbsp; Then Saturday dawned with more amazing weather.&nbsp; The team drew a 70<sup>th<\/sup> out of 100 starting slot.&nbsp; Not ideal but still manageable in a 14 hour event.&nbsp; The race went green and then immediately to full course caution.&nbsp; Then the race went back to green,,,, and the seal on the Transmission broke on the Team Sahlen race car.&nbsp; This tremendous effort was rewarded with a Porsche Boxster that was ready to get on track and conduct some valuable testing on the brand new Kumhos.&nbsp; The team made several set up alterations.&nbsp; Some did not work, and then some did work.&nbsp; In the end the team was able to come to grips with the Kumhos in preparation for the Memorial Day event at Waktins Glen.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Daytona-26-12-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12465\" srcset=\"https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Daytona-26-12-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Daytona-26-12-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Daytona-26-12-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Daytona-26-12-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Daytona-26-12-2048x1536.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Will Nonnamaker shared his thoughts after the event \u2013 \u201cEven after racing for 30 years, you never get used to this type of failure at the start of a long race such as this.&nbsp; I remember this same thing occurred at Daytona for a 24 hour event where we broke in the 1<sup>st<\/sup> hour of the race.&nbsp; It is hard to stomach such a situation.&nbsp; But if you are not prepared for these types of situations, then you shouldn\u2019t be racing.&nbsp;
