This would be the team\u2019s 1<sup>st<\/sup> foray into racing in the NASA TREC series.&nbsp; Yet the team would be no stranger to racing at Pittsburgh, having 1<sup>st<\/sup> been on the track way back in 2013.&nbsp; Over the past decade of racing at the rolling 2.78 mile circuit, Team Sahlen has accumulated 22 class victories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/NASA-Pitt-9-1-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11405\" srcset=\"https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/NASA-Pitt-9-1-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/NASA-Pitt-9-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/NASA-Pitt-9-1-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/NASA-Pitt-9-1-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/NASA-Pitt-9-1.jpg 2016w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">For this weekend\u2019s event, the team would be racing just 1 Porsche \u2013 the #943 \u201cMustard\u201d Porsche Boxster.&nbsp;&nbsp; The drivers would be Joe Sahlen and Will Nonnamaker.&nbsp; The team rolled into Pitt Race on Thursday night to set up the paddock in advance of Friday \u2013 that would be a 1 day race event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/NASA-Pitt-5-1-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11409\" srcset=\"https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/NASA-Pitt-5-1-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/NASA-Pitt-5-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/NASA-Pitt-5-1-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/NASA-Pitt-5-1-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/NASA-Pitt-5-1.jpg 2016w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Saturday dawned with beautiful blue skies.&nbsp; The team quickly moved through tech and the drivers attended the morning official NASA series meeting, all in advance of the 1<sup>st<\/sup> practice session that occurred at 9 am.&nbsp; Due to constant rains that occurred in the Midwest in July, the track was very green.&nbsp; Soon though the track rubbered in during sessions 2 &amp; 3.&nbsp; The team\u2019s times were good enough to secure 3<sup>rd<\/sup> OVERALL and 1<sup>st<\/sup> in Class 4 on the grid.&nbsp; The 2 hour lunch break saw the team prep the Boxster for the race and set up the pits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/NASA-Pitt-17-1-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11406\" srcset=\"https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/NASA-Pitt-17-1-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/NASA-Pitt-17-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/NASA-Pitt-17-1-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/NASA-Pitt-17-1-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/teamsahlen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/NASA-Pitt-17-1.jpg 2016w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The 1:30 pm race start saw Will Nonnamaker behind the wheel, chasing the pole sitting #140 Legends Roadster.&nbsp; And as the checkered flag flew at 5:30 pm \u2013 the #943 \u201cMustard\u201d Porsche Boxster crossed the line 1<sup>st<\/sup>.&nbsp; This victory marked the teams 22<sup>nd<\/sup> Class Victory at Pittsburgh International Race Complex.&nbsp;
