This season marks Joseph Sahlen\u2019s\n10th<\/sup> year of racing.   Joseph shares\nhis father\u2019s passion for racing.  He has followed\nin his Joe\u2019s footsteps of competing in Endurance Sports Car Racing.  Joseph\u2019s first initial taste of racing occurred\nin 2004, when he raced with his Dad, Joe Nonnamaker, Wayne Nonnamaker and Will\nNonnamaker in an Endurance Karting event at Charlotte Motor Speedway.  That race ignited Joseph desire for more\naction, and in 2015 he entered his very 1st<\/sup> event \u2013 the Tire Rack \u2013\nChampCar Endurance Series Memorial Day Weekend event at Watkins Glen\nInternational.  The car of choice that\nweekend was the #941 \u201cCharcoal\u201d Mazda RX7. \nSince that time, Joseph has continued to race, including Daytona\nInternational Speedway and Pittsburgh International Raceway into his portfolio\nof tracks.  Joseph has also driven the\nTeam Sahlen #941 \u201cChili\u201d Porsche Boxster and recently in the \u201cLighting McQueen\u201d\nthemed Ford Mustang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But Joseph\u2019s passion for\nracing goes beyond cars, as he enjoys snowmobiling and motorcycles as\nwell.  And in 2019, Joseph had the privilege\nto drive the Sahlen\u2019s West Coast Chopper around Watkins Glen International.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even on his vacations,\nJoseph can\u2019t get away from his passion for cars.  He is a frequent spectator at the Mid-Ohio\nBike Event. And during a recent trip to England, he stopped into the Goodwood Festival\nof Speed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joseph will continue his adventures in 2025, as he will be entering the Pittsburgh round of the Tire Rack \u2013 ChampCar Endurance Series in the Fall. \u00a0And he shared his thoughts on his racing adventures \u2013 \u201cI enjoy the fun of racing.\u00a0 I also enjoy tinkering and working on the cars and bikes.\u00a0 Hopefully I will be able to continue to have fun and race well into the future.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
