Posted (01/27/2010) - After two successful tests at Daytona International Speedway in December and January, Team Sahlen has firmly come to grasps with their new SpeedSource Engineering built Mazda RX-8s.
"The driving style for the RX-8s is dramatically different than what we were racing last year. But having 2 tests has really assisted us in getting a handle on the driving style required. It should be very exciting race. The GT field is very, very strong this year." - states Wayne Nonnamaker "24 Hours is a long time, and just making it to the finish is a victory. Our goal as a team is to stay consistent and make it around to Sunday morning. Come sunrise on Sunday, there is still a full day of racing on track. And a key factor will be the crew that continues to execute flawless pit stops." - states Team Manager Jay Chapman SPEED TV will cover the race live at the 3 pm start time on January 30th. The 2010 Team Sahlen ROLEX & KONI Challenge Series Campaign will be supported by Mazdaspeed, HRPWorld.com, HAWK Performance, Cool Shirt, TheRaceSite.com, Grassroots Motorsports, Holliday Canopies, Alcon, CM |
