Team Sahlen to partner with Akron Racers

Posted (04/17/2009) - Team Sahlen will be partnering with the Akron Racers in 2009. The Racers are a Professional Softball Team based in Akron, Ohio. The Racers play their 20 home games at Firestone Stadium. They play in the National Pro FastPitch League. In 2005, the Team won the League Championship7 "The partnership only seemed logical with both programs being in Professional Sports based in the Akron Ohio area. Plus the Racers theme plays right into our Racing Team. Even our Red & Black colors are the same. There are some really interesting cross promtional campaigns that we plan to roll out as the season rolls along. It should be very exciting. We hope that together we can assist in raising the awareness of this very exciting sport - Professional FastPitch Softball. I know that I am excited. Recentely, my Grandma, my son Ian and I attended the Racer's Draft party, and already you could sense the excitement for the season in the air." - states Will Nonnamaker This partnership is a continuation of the trend Team Sahlen started in 2008, with partnering with the Professional Women's Soccer Team - The Buffalo Flash. "Its really neat that we are able to become involved in two different Women's Professional Teams, one in soccer and one in softball. Joe Sahlen's daughter Alex already plays for the Flash.
