Sahlen Family, Friends & Guests have Grand Time at Sahlen's 6 Hours

Posted (06/12/2007) - At the Recent Sahlen's 6 Hours race weekend at the Glen; Family, Friends and Guests were treated to pleasant weekend of fun. Great weather on race day, allowed all to tour the track, and take in the race action. Several guests were able to hang out at the Sahlen hospitality suite in the esses. It seemed that Sahlen's was everywhere at the track this past weekend. Corner Workers, Fireman and Medical Supports staff could be seen wearing the special Sahlen logo shirts. On the back Special Commemorative flags commemorating the life of Bob Snodgrass had the Sahlen's 6 Hours were distributed to fans and racers to display on laps 58 and 59 of the race. This was in honor of the legendary Brumos Racing's numbers; 58 & 59. At the start of the race, Sahlen's shirts & hats were worn by the honorary starters, as well as the 30+ flag holders on the pre race grid. Taking to the track was the Team Sahlen #42 & #43 HRPWorld.com Corvettes driven by Joe Sahlen and Joe, Wayne & Will Nonnamaker. The Corvettes were entered in the Sahlen's 6 Hours in the GT class. Just after the race, all Sahlen Family, Friends and Guests were able to collect into Victory Circle for the annual Team Picture with the HRPWorld.com Corvette. The #43 Corvette made it to victory circle having won the weekend's Bob Akin Sportsman Award. Then to conclude the weekend, everyone gathered back in the paddock for a post race party of wings and pizza.
