Team Sahlen Dodge Qualifies in 3rd Place - Surprises Factory Based Teams

Posted (06/29/2006) - The Team Sahlen Dodge turned more than a few heads this past weekend at the Mid Ohio Sports Car Course. Matthew O'Toole and co-driver Mike Speck coordinated the charge on the Grand-Am Cup Street Tuner (ST) class during Saturday afternoon's qualifying race. Speck jumped behind the wheel for qualifying and greatly impressed team owner, Will Nonnamaker. "Mike Speck did a fantastic job qualifying the Team Sahlen Dodge SRT4. He did it against some very serious factory based teams such as Chevrolet, Mazda, Acura, Honda, and BMW. The team has worked very hard on this car all year to get it to this point. We have put 9 full testing days into it during 2006 to get the setup just right," Nonnamaker stated. This 3rd place in qualifying was the highest qualifying position for the Team Sahlen Dodge in 2006. Now with this qualifying run in their pocket, the team looks forward to a more successful season with their ST class effort.
