Team Sahlen Commits to 2006 Rolex 24 Hours

Posted (12/19/2005) - Team Sahlen is committing once again to compete in the most prestigious road race of North America, the Rolex 24 at Daytona. The team will field a 2 to 3 car effort in the Grand Touring (GT) class at this season's event set for January 28th, 2006 The North Canton, Ohio based team will field Porsche GT3 Cup cars in the GT class for the event marking the beginning of 2006 Grand American Rolex season. Confirmed Drivers for the multiple car effort includes Wes Allen, Joe Nonnamaker, Wayne Nonnamaker, and Will Nonnamaker. The full driver line-up will be announced at the ROLEX 24 Hour weekend. "The team has secured a top 10 finish in class in the 2004 and 2005 events. We are coming into this year's race with great enthusiasm and looking forward to getting our Team Sahlen Porsches on the track," stated Will Nonnamaker. In preparation for the Rolex 24 Hour race, the team plans on attending the early January testing session held at Daytona International Speedway. The Team Sahlen crew has been preparing cars since the end of the 2005 season and despite the shortened off-season, the crew is ready for some excellent results. "There is so much preparation that goes into this one event. We had some good races last season and we are keeping those races in mind as we prep the cars for this race.
