Nonnamaker Heads To Mexico City for Final Rolex Race of 2005

Posted (11/02/2005) - Team Sahlen driver Will Nonnamaker will head to Mexico City, Mexico for the final Rolex race of 2005. Nonnamaker will be joining Synergy Racing driver Mae Van Wijk in the Synergy Racing Porsche. Nonnamaker attends the race with hopes of earning enough points to land the Bob Akin Award. Nonnamaker leads TRG driver Marc Bunting by 131 points. Driver's points are determined according to miles driven during Rolex races and finishing position. With the points this close, Nonnamaker is very thankful for the opportunity to drive in the Mexico City race. "I would like to thank Sahlen's for their support all year and at Mexico City. Also, thank you to Synergy Racing for the opportunity to co-drive with Mae at this last race of the season," stated Nonnamaker. The race will be held at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, a 2.786 mile road course minutes from the center of Mexico City. This will be Nonnamaker's and Grand American's first appearance at the Mexican track. The race will be broadcasted live on SPEED Saturday, November 5th at 4:00pm EST. Will Nonnamaker and Team Sahlen have competed in the 2005 Grand American Rolex season with support from Speed Group International, GOJO, HRPWorld.com, TheRaceSite.com, Hawk Performance, TheRaceMarket.com, Kempthorn Auto Mall, UNICHIP, Lamin-X, Racetech, and Grassroots Motorsports. |
