Grassroots Motorsports Uses Team Sahlen Porsche as Cover Model

Posted (10/26/2005) - The latest cover model to hit news stand on Grassroots Motorsports is the Team Sahlen No. 40 Grand Sport class Porsche. "Go Racing" is the featured article in the November issue of Grassroots Motorsports and who better than to go racing with than Grassroots Motorsports and Team Sahlen. The Green, Ohio based Grand American Sports Car Racing team entered the 2005 Grand American season with a total of eight Porsches. Five of the cars competed in the Grand-Am Cup Grand Sport class and three competed in the Grand American Rolex Grand Touring class. The No. 40 car was driven by Joe Nonnamaker and his son Wayne for the majority of the season. "This is our first cover on Grassroots Motorsports. We have had a huge response from people all over the country stating that they have seen us on the cover. We were so pleased to have them select the shot of the No. 40 car for the November issue. What an honor to be associated with such an excellent magazine," states Will Nonnamaker. Will and Wayne Nonnamaker have been featured writers for Grassroots Motorsports. The Nonnamakers' articles are an inside look at the operation of a race team from marketing to car set-up to the ups and downs of a race season. "When racing at this level the focus is very much on getting more fans involved and more participants active. Grassroots Motorsports has been a wonderful resource for our team as well as many others in the club and professional level," states Wayne Nonnamaker.
