Tomy Drissi Set to Join Team Sahlen at Phoenix Race

Phoenix SchedulePosted (09/07/2005) - Tomy Drissi will be joining the Team Sahlen drivers as they take on the rest of the Grand American Rolex Grand Touring Class. This will be Drissi's first race with Team Sahlen since the Laguna Seca Race this past April. Since then Drissi has also competed in the Porsche Michelin Supercup Series in Monaco. The Hollywood, California native is a regular competitor in the Trans-Am series. Drissi has received several distinctions from the Trans-Am series, such as Rookie of the Year in 1999 and Most Improved in 2000. Drissi's Team Sahlen co-drivers see him as a very welcome addition. "We are extremely pleased to have Tomy racing with us this weekend. He is a an excellent competitor and driver. He is an experienced driver that will be very much to our benefit at Phoenix International Raceway. All of us are looking forward to an excellent weekend," states Team Sahlen driver and owner, Will Nonnamaker. Drissi will be joining Will Nonnamaker, Wayne Nonnamaker, and Joe Nonnamaker this weekend at Phoenix International Raceway. Grand American Rolex Grand Touring competition begins at 7:00 pm PST on Friday, September 9th. Team Sahlen competes in the ROLEX Grand American Series with support from HRPWorld.com, TheRaceSite.com, Rembrandt Charms, TheRaceMarket.com, Kempthorn Auto Mall, UNICHIP, Lamin-X, Racetech, and Grassroots Motorsports. |
