Hawk Performance Brings Excellence and Safety to Phoenix ProMotions

A division of the Wellman Products Group family, Hawk Performance has a made a large impact on the motorsports industry. Focusing on acceleration and deceleration, the friction materials segment of this company has set new standards in the sport of racing. In 1999, Hawk Performance forged an irrefutable relationship with the Phoenix ProMotions motorsports team. By appreciating the different needs and aspects of racing, Hawk has the capabilities, knowledge, and determination to adapt quickly to the changes that keep the Phoenix ProMotions team performing at the highest level. This product adaptation is one of the most important and substantial parts of the Hawk-Phoenix ProMotions relationship. Wayne Nonnamaker recently commented, "In this industry, having a partner with both the knowledge to enhance our performance and the product to play a vital role in our strategy is advantageous. Hawk is always willing to make changes to their product to improve our team, and has developed with us over the years." Hawk Performance has been witness to the changes Phoenix ProMotions has made over the past six years of their partnership. "In 2004, when the team grew from 5 to 8 cars in a single season, Hawk was an essential member in making it work," added Nonnamaker. Hawk has also expressed the importance of the collaboration with Phoenix ProMotions. Hawk recognizes the importance of developing quality products with the actual groups that will be using them. Phoenix ProMotions has shared their on track results with Hawk, thus making information readily available to aid in Hawk's product development. "Phoenix ProMotions and their race team are an essentially partner for our friction material platform development, especially in the Porsche market, and they were very instrumental in helping us launch our Hawk Performance DTC-60 race friction material. We look forward to continuing our long time partnership with them," says Jeff Barrow, Hawk Motorsports Marketing Manager. With a product line that includes, but not limited to, Ferro-Carbon, Carbotic, Carbon-Carbon, and full metallic disc brakes and clutches, Hawk covers anything running on a dirt or asphalt track. From stockcar to open wheel, road racing to drag racing, Hawk products play an integral part. In addition to Hawk's partnership the 2005 Team Sahlen's Campaign will be racing in the Grand American series with HRPWorld.com, GOJO, TheRaceSite.com, Hawk Performance, TheRaceMarket.com, Kempthorn Auto Mall, Lamin-X, RaceTech, Grassroots Motorsports, CM Racing Products, and Holliday Canopies. |
