Stanton & Murry finish in 2nd place at Road America ALMS

Posted (08/27/2004) - TheRacSite.com Racing's driving tandom of Craig Stanton and David Murry are teammates in multiple series. This includes the ALMS series in the GT class. At the recent ALMS round at Road America, the duo took a strong 3rd place qualifying position, and improved upon that to finish in 2nd place at the end of the race. This finish not only moves Stanton and Murry closer to the lead of the GT class, but moves them closer to the IMSA Privateer Team award. The strong 2nd place provides Stanton with important Porsche Cup points. With the winners of the race being factory Porsche drivers, the 2nd place was as good as a win for Porsche Cup Points. "It was a great day today. The Peterson / White Lightning team did just an awesome job on the #31 Porsche. The Michelin tires held in there all day which allowed us to get the full fuel load out of the car and that made a big difference. We fought and we fought and we fought." States Craig Stanton. Craig and David will be back behind of the wheel of TheRaceSite.com Racing's Porsches at round 7 of the Grand-Am Cup at Homestead.
