Posted (08/05/2004) - Emil Assentato and Nick Longhi are set to make a special guest appearance with TheRaceSite.com Racing at the Mid-Ohio race car course for round 6 of the Grand-Am Cup series. The duo finished as the runner-ups in the 2002 Grand-Am Cup GS class Driver Championship. After a full 10 race season, they were only 9 points out of 1st place in the championship. A blown motor at the Daytona Finale being their downfall. "We are very excited to have Emil and Nick with us at Mid-Ohio. It is our goal for this season to field very strong line-ups in all of our Porsche 911s this year." States Crew Chief Mike Thomas, "This provides us with another line-up that can go out and contend for the victory in the hotly contested Grand Sports class" TheRaceSite.com's title defending campaign in the Grand-Am Cup GS class is a reality due to the amazing support from HRPworld.com, HAWK Performance, Kempthorn Auto Mall, SpeedSource, TheRaceMarket.com, North Jersey Dermatology Center, Buddy Stubbs' Harley Davidson, Grassroots Motorsports Magazine and 9 Magazine. |
