Stanton & Murry finish 3rd in GT at Portland ALMS

Posted (07/26/2004) - Congrats to TheRaceSite.com's Craig Stanton and David Murry for an excellent drive this past weekend in the Portland round of the ALMS. The duo drove their No. 31 Petersen Motorsports/ White Lightning Racing Porsche 911 GT3 RSR to 3rd place in the hotly contested GT class. They were in contention throughout the race, leading several times during the event. This finish places the pair in 4th place in the GT standings. The high finish also serves to provide Stanton with valuable Porsche Cup points. Currently, Craig Stanton leads the Grand-Am Cup GS point standings driving TheRaceSite.com Racing's #44 Porsche 911. He has won 4 out of the 5 races so far this season.
