Brett Shanaman hopes to repeat 2003 Watkins Glen success with father Sam in Grand-Am Cup

Now the team has added the father & son team of Sam & Brett Shanaman to the #41 line-up. Adding Brett to TheRaceSite.com Racing's arsenal dramatically increases the team potential for a great finish. Brett won the 2000 and 2003 Grand Sports class races at Watkins Glen. Both times though were with another co-driver besides his Dad. This time Brett will be teamed with Sam in hopes of defending his 2003 victory. "For some reason, Watkins Glen really suits my driving style. The track is so challenging. I really enjoy it" states Brett, "Its great to be back here competing in the Grand-Am Cup Grand Sports class. The racing is really close and competitive" - states Brett, " Sam and Brett are no strangers to the Grand Sports class. In 2000, father and son competed in their Wind River Racing Pontiac Firebirds, winning the Grand Sports Team Championship. "Brett and I are looking forward to driving together again. Any chance we can get to be together is a good one. Being together and at the race track makes it a great one."
