Posted (03/23/2004) - TheRaceSite.com Racing unveils the team's Triple Lightning threat to the Grand-Am Cup GS class at Homestead this weekend. All three of the SpeedSource Porsches are painted in Red & Black with the striking Yellow lighting bolt stripping.

Race Fans got a sneak peak at the paint scheme at Daytona, when the #44 SpeedSource Porsche, driven by Craig Stanton and Terry Borcheller, won the Grand-Am Cup race.

This official unveiling of the #40, #43 & #44 triplets is in conjunction with the roll out of the brand new TheRaceSite.com logo.

Design of the new logo is the handy work of TheRaceSite.com's graphic artist Stephanie Mikulan. Stephanie joined TheRaceSite.com in December, after graduating from Kent State University.

"When I was given the task of redesigning the logo, I wanted to come up with something that would communicate the high intense energy of Sports Car Racing. By incorporating the Lightning bolt into the logo, I think that we were able to create a new look will retaining the feel of the original design." States Stephanie

All three race cars, #40, #43 & #44, also carry the infamous Porsche Logo on the roofs.

"We wanted to do something really special to thank Porsche for all that they have done. Putting the large Porsche logo up there for everyone to see, seemed like the perfect thing. Porsche builds a fantastic street car, that is also a fantastic race car. Last year we had the privilege of bringing Porsche the Grand Sports Manufacturer's Championship. This year we hope to bring them home another Grand-Am Cup." - states Team Driver Joe Nonnamaker

Last season the team also won the Grand Sports Team Championship. Currently, TheRaceSite.com Racing is in 1st (#44), 4th (#43) and 9th (#40) in the Grand Sports Team Championship. With 31 Grand Sports entries for the Homestead round, placing all three Porsches in the Top Ten will be quite a challenge.

TheRaceSite.com's title defending campaign in the Grand-Am Cup GS class is a reality due to the amazing support from HRPworld.com, HAWK Performance, Kempthorn Auto Mall, SpeedSource, TheRaceMarket.com, K&N Filters, Infinity2, Bob Bondurant Driving Schools, North Jersey Dermatology Center, Grassroots Motorsports Magazine and 9 Magazine.
