Posted (02/12/2004) - Grand American Road Racing Association announced its SPEED Channel broadcast dates for the remainder of 2004 Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series, with the number of live Rolex Series events increased to eight this season.

SPEED Channel kicked off its coverage of the 2004 Rolex Series with a 15.5-hour live broadcast of the Rolex 24 At Daytona earlier this month and will follow it up with seven additional live races and four tape-delayed events.

Round two of the Rolex Series will be the Grand Prix of Miami at Homestead-Miami Speedway. SPEED Channel will air the race on a tape delay, Sunday, March 7 at 4 p.m. ET.

SPEED Channel's live coverage of the Rolex Series will pick back up with the Phoenix 250, Saturday, April 10 at 9 p.m. ET, and continue with the 6 Heures du Circuit Mont-Tremblant on Sunday, May 23 at 11 a.m. ET.

The Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen will feature live coverage of the start and finish of the race. SPEED Channel will take race fans live to Watkins Glen International for the green flag and opening laps of the six-hour enduro at 11 a.m. ET, before heading to Indy for the U.S. Grand Prix Formula One race at 12:30 p.m. ET. SPEED Channel will then rejoin the action at The Glen for final hours and sprint to the checkered flag at 3:30 p.m. ET.

The Rolex Series will revisit Daytona International Speedway for the Paul Revere 250 in round six, which will air on SPEED Channel tape delayed on Sunday, July 4 at noon ET. Round seven of the series will be held at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and air one day after the event on Sunday, August 8 at noon ET. One week later, theglen.com 250 from Watkins Glen International will air, Sunday, August 15 at 1 p.m. ET.

Live Rolex Series action will return to SPEED Channel for the final four races of the season, beginning with the second stop in South Florida for the Miami 250 at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Sunday, September 12 at 1 p.m. ET. The VIR 400 from Virginia International Raceway will be live on Sunday, October 3 at noon ET, and a week later SPEED Channel will broadcast the Barber 250 at The Park live on Sunday, October 10 at 1 p.m. ET.

The 2004 championship will be decided at California Speedway, and SPEED Channel will bring race fans all of the excitement live from the Grand American Champions Weekend, Sunday, October 31 at 4 p.m. ET.
